A ridge cap is the folded piece that covers the line where two roof slopes meet. It completes the roof's weather sealing; a correctly folded ridge keeps rainwater from getting under the roof.
Ridge caps and finishing trims such as valleys, eaves and corners are usually folded from pre-painted coil in the same colour as the roof sheet, on press brakes or profiling machines. Using the same RAL colour gives the roof a consistent look.

PPGI is steel coil with a factory-applied paint layer on a galvanized substrate. It is used for trapezoidal, corrugated and ridge sheets, as sandwich panel raw material and for roof and wall cladding.
Which colours is PPGI pre-painted coil available in?
PPGI pre-painted coil is supplied in colours from the RAL range. Oxide red (RAL 3009), anthracite grey (RAL 7016) and grey white (RAL 9002) are common choices for roofing and cladding. Call us for current colour stock.
