Drywall Profiles
Galvanized coil for the C, U and omega profiles of drywall partition and suspended ceiling systems.
The load-bearing frame of drywall partitions and suspended ceilings consists of thin-walled profiles roll-formed from galvanized steel. Because these profiles stay inside walls and ceiling voids, they must be protected against corrosion.
GI galvanized coil, with its hot-dip zinc coating, protects the profiles against rust throughout their life, and its formability suits high-speed profiling lines.
We can plan supply around the strip (slit) width and thickness your profiling line needs.
Typical applications
- C and U wall studs and tracks
- Suspended ceiling carrier profiles
- Omega and corner profiles
- Ceiling hangers and connectors
GI Galvanized Steel Coil
Hot-dip zinc coated coil for profile and duct manufacturing.
Where is GI galvanized coil used?
GI is steel coil zinc coated by hot-dip galvanizing. It is the raw material for drywall profiles, ventilation ducts and trapezoidal sheets. The common grade is EN 10346 DX51D+Z.
Why choose Magnelis over standard galvanized steel?
Magnelis' key advantage is its stronger self-protection against corrosion at cut, punched or exposed edges. That makes it the better choice for solar, agricultural and outdoor profiles that are cut and punched.
